Uniform Requirements

At Elevate Dance Company, wearing the correct studio uniform is an important part of our culture and commitment to discipline, safety, and team spirit. Uniforms help dancers feel confident, focused, while also being able to move properly for the genre of dance they are taking. This ensures teachers can see correct alignment and technique of students in class.

• All students must wear the designated Elevate uniform appropriate to their class style (e.g. ballet, jazz, acro, etc.)
• Hair must be slicked back in a neat bun.
• Correct dance shoes must be worn for each class (e.g. ballet shoes, jazz shoes, tap shoes)
• No skirts, oversized t-shirts, or baggy clothing unless specifically approved for class.
• Elevate merchandise or jackets may be worn for warm-ups but must be removed once class begins

• No jewellery (earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, anklets) is permitted in class for safety reasons
• Small, flat studs are permitted 

• Promotes equality and reduces distractions
• Allows dancers to move properly
• Encourages discipline and commitment
• Helps teachers give accurate feedback on posture and technique
• Prepares students for performances and examinations

  CORRECT UNIFORM with hair in a bun is required for all classes.
